THE BEGINNING OF A GREAT ADVENTURE

Arnold Abatecola, president of A-Stone, has been involved in the landscape and
masonry business since 1965. He experienced his share of frustration in earlier
years when looking for quality stone products at an affordable price.

In 1988, with the help of his daughter Paula and son-in-law David, he began
to sell imported stones from countries such as: India, Mexico, Brazil, and Italy.
With a combined effort, they scoured the United States to find the best quality
natural domestic stone at the best prices.

In 1995 his daughter Linda, after living in Italy for several years, came back to
Rhode Island and joined the growing company. Linda, with her experience in
European stone and tile, has been an integral part of setting up A-Stone’s award-
winning fabrication division.

Today, A-Stone carries over 100 different types of natural stone products with a
continual quest for more. Those who visit A-Stone will attest to the fact that
when it comes to natural stone, A-Stone is the place to go. Because A-Stone
